Teano is a town and comune located in the province of Caserta within the Campania region of southern Italy. It is situated approximately 30 kilometres (19 mi) northwest of Caserta along the main railway line connecting Naples and Rome.
The town is geographically positioned at the southeast foot of Rocca Monfina, which is an extinct volcano. A notable landmark in the area is St. Clement's cathedral, which serves as the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Teano-Calvi. This diocese originated as the Diocese of Teano around AD 300.
