San Gregorio Matese is a comune, or municipality, located in the Province of Caserta within the Campania region of southern Italy. It is situated approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi) north of Naples and about 35 kilometres (22 mi) north of the provincial capital, Caserta.
The municipality serves as a local administrative division within the Italian regional landscape. Its geographic position places it in the inland area of Campania, positioned between the major urban centers of Naples and Caserta.
