Padula is a comune located in the province of Salerno within the Campania region of south-western Italy. As of 2011, the town had a recorded population of 5,279 residents.
The municipality is primarily recognized for the Certosa di San Lorenzo, a Carthusian monastery. It stands as one of the largest monasteries in Italy and serves as a prominent example of Baroque architecture. The site is also designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
