Frattamaggiore is a comune located in the Metropolitan City of Naples within the Campania region of Italy. Geographically, it is situated approximately 15 km (9.3 mi) north of Naples and 15 km (9.3 mi) southwest of Caserta.
The municipality has received several formal designations for its cultural heritage. It was named a Benedictine city in 1997 and was officially awarded the title of "City of art" in 2008.
