Formicola is a comune located in the Province of Caserta within the Campania region of Italy. The municipality is situated approximately 45 kilometres north of Naples and about 20 kilometres northwest of Caserta.
The town shares borders with several neighboring municipalities, including Camigliano, Giano Vetusto, Pietramelara, Pontelatone, Roccaromana, and Rocchetta e Croce.
