Cetara is a city located in Italy. While it serves as a geographical location, the name is also associated with a specific musical instrument found in Corsica.

The cetera (or cetara) is a plucked string instrument characterized by a body similar to a mandolin but larger in size. It features sixteen or sometimes eighteen metal strings arranged in paired courses and is played using a plectrum made of horn or tortoiseshell.
