Cautano is a comune, or municipality, located in the Campania region of southern Italy. It is situated within the Province of Benevento, positioned approximately 75 km northeast of Naples and about 13 km west of Benevento.
The municipality was formed by the union of two distinct countries: Cautano and Cacciano. Geographically, it lies roughly 13 km north of Montesarchio.
