Italy

Terranova da Sibari is a town and comune located in the province of Cosenza within the Calabria region of southern Italy. Geographically, it sits on a hill situated between the river Crati and the final reaches of the Sila Mountains, positioned approximately 20 kilometres from the Ionian Sea.

The settlement was founded by refugees fleeing the ancient city of Thurii following its destruction during a war against Croton. It serves as a historical site reflecting the migration patterns of antiquity in the region.
