Reggio Calabria, also referred to as Reggio di Calabria or simply Reggio, is a city located in southern Italy. It serves as the largest city in the Calabria region and functions as the seat of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria.

Situated near the center of the Mediterranean, the city is characterized by its climate and ethnic and cultural diversity. As of 2025, it has a population of 168,572 inhabitants, making it the twenty-first most populous city in Italy. It serves as the third economic center of mainland Southern Italy, with a total metropolitan population of approximately 511,935 people.
