Nicastro is a town located in the province of Catanzaro within the Calabria region of southern Italy. It serves as one of the constituent parts of the larger urban area known as Lamezia Terme.
Since 1968, Nicastro has officially constituted, together with the neighboring areas of Sambiase and Sant'Eufemia Lamezia, the city of Lamezia Terme. This administrative arrangement defines its current geographical and civic status within the region.
