Maierato is a comune, or municipality, located in the Province of Vibo Valentia within the Calabria region of southern Italy. It is situated approximately 40 kilometres southwest of Catanzaro and about 11 kilometres northeast of Vibo Valentia.
As of December 31, 2004, the municipality covered an area of 39.9 square kilometres and had a recorded population of 2,305 residents.
