Amantea is a town and comune located in the province of Cosenza within the Calabria region of southern Italy. Historically, it served as a former bishopric and currently holds the status of a Latin Catholic titular see.
The municipality ranks twentieth in the Calabria region by population and twenty-fourth in terms of population density. Situated on the southern Tyrrhenian Sea coast, Amantea serves as a recognized tourist center for the area.
