Albi is a commune located in southern France. It serves as the prefecture of the Tarn department and is situated on the river Tarn, approximately 85 kilometers northeast of Toulouse.
The inhabitants of the city are known as Albigensians. Additionally, Albi serves as the seat of the Archbishop of Albi.
