Pignola is an Italian town located in the province of Potenza within the Basilicata region. The municipality borders Anzi to the east, Abriola to the southwest, Tito to the west, and Potenza to the north.
The Pignolese territory covers an area of 55.51 km2 with a diverse elevation profile. Altitudes range from 700 meters at Pantano-Petrucco to 927 meters in the inhabited center, reaching a peak of 1476 meters at Mount Serranetta, which is the highest point in the territory. The town has a population of 6,962 inhabitants.
