Nova Siri

Nova Siri is a town and comune located in the province of Matera within the Basilicata region of southern Italy. The municipality is situated near the site of Siris, an ancient Ionian colony.

The settlement is composed of two distinct areas: the historic Nova Siri Centre, known as the 'paese', and the coastal town of Nova Siri Station, or 'Scalo', which was developed starting in the 1970s. The historic centre is positioned on a hill at an elevation of approximately 350 metres (1,150 ft), located about 9 km (6 mi) from the coastline.
