Ortona dei Marsi is a comune and town located in the province of L'Aquila within the Abruzzo region of central Italy. It is situated at an elevation of 1,000 meters above sea level and is part of the traditional area known as Marsica.
The town is set within a valley surrounded by mountains that reach heights of up to 1,800 meters. Additionally, Ortona dei Marsi is included in the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise.
