Gagliano Aterno is a town and comune situated in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It is located approximately 45 kilometres (28 miles) from the city of Aquila.
The village sits in the vicinity of an ancient pre-Roman settlement. While these historical roots exist, the majority of the buildings currently found in the town date back to the medieval period.
