Civitella Casanova is an Italian town located in the inland mountains of the province of Pescara within the Abruzzo region. It has a population of approximately 1,950 inhabitants and belongs to the mountain community of Vestina. The local economy is primarily based on agriculture.
The town is situated within the National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga, as well as the Regional Reserve Voltigno and Valle d'Angri, which is itself included in the national park. Historically, the area has pre-Roman origins; according to the historian Livy, the town was formerly known as Cutina or Cingilia.
