Capistrello is a comune and town located in the province of L'Aquila within the Abruzzo region of central-southern Italy. It is situated at the geographical border between the upper Liri River valley and the Marsica area.
The municipality shares borders with several neighboring towns, including Avezzano, Canistro, Castellafiume, Filettino in the province of Frosinone, Luco dei Marsi, Scurcola Marsicana, and Tagliacozzo.
