Reykjanesbær is a municipality located on the Southern Peninsula, also known as Suðurnes, in Iceland. It serves as the fourth largest municipality in the country, with a population of 21,957 citizens as of 2024.
The municipality was established in 1994 following a vote by inhabitants to merge the towns of Keflavík and Njarðvík with the village of Hafnir. While it officially comprises these three settlements, locals also use the name Reykjanesbær to refer to the suburban region formed by the growth of Keflavík and Njarðvík over time.
