Hafnarfjörður, officially known as Hafnarfjarðarkaupstaður, is a port town and municipality located in the Capital Region of Iceland. Situated on the southwest coast of the country, it lies approximately 10 km (6 mi) south of the capital city, Reykjavík.

The municipality consists of two non-contiguous areas and serves as the third-most populous city in Iceland, following Reykjavík and Kópavogur. With a population of about 31,500 inhabitants, Hafnarfjörður features established local industry, various urban activities, and hosts annual festival events.
