Ferdows is a city located in the Central District of Ferdows County within the South Khorasan province of Iran. It serves as the administrative capital for both the county and the district. The city sits at an elevation of 1,293 meters above sea level.
Geographically, Ferdows is situated approximately 345 kilometres south of Mashhad and 200 kilometres northwest of Birjand. It lies on a primary transportation axis that connects several provinces, including Yazd, Kerman, Isfahan, Bushehr, Hormozgan, and Fars, to the city of Mashhad.
