Zarrinabad is a city located in the Central District of Ijrud County within the Zanjan province of Iran. It serves as the administrative capital for both the county and the district.
The location was originally established as a village and previously functioned as the capital of the Ijrud-e Bala Rural District before that status was transferred to the village of Qareh Said. Zarrinabad was officially elevated to city status in 1997.
