Mahneshan is a city located in the Central District of Mahneshan County within the Zanjan province of Iran. It serves as the administrative capital for both the county and the district.
Originally established as a village, Mahneshan was officially converted into a city in 1995. The location previously functioned as the administrative center for the Mahneshan Rural District before that status was transferred to the village of Sarik.
