Mamqan is a city located in the East Azerbaijan province of Iran. It serves as the capital of the Mamqan District within Azarshahr County and functions as the administrative center for the Shahrak Rural District.
The city replaced Azarshahr as the district capital, while it also succeeded the village of Khanamir as the seat of the rural district. Notably, Mamqan is recognized as the world's largest producer of chickpeas.
