Fahraj is a city located in the Kerman Province of Iran. It serves as the administrative capital for both Fahraj County and its Central District, while also functioning as the administrative center for the Fahraj Rural District.
Historically, the location originated as a village that served as the capital of the former Narmashir District within Bam County. This status changed when the district's capital was transferred to the village of Rostamabad, which eventually became the city of Narmashir and the current capital of Narmashir County.
