Nasirshahr is a city located in the Central District of Robat Karim County within the Tehran province of Iran. The settlement originated as the village of Nasirabad, which was officially converted into a city in 2005. In 2012, the name of the municipality was formally changed to Nasirshahr.
Historically, while it functioned as a village, Nasirabad served as the capital of the Meymanat Rural District. This administrative role ended when the seat of government for the district was subsequently transferred to the village of Meymanatabad.
