Baqershahr is a city located in the Kahrizak District of Ray County within the Tehran province of Iran. It originated as the village of Baqerabad, which previously served as the capital of the Behnampazuki-ye Jonubi Rural District before that status was transferred to the village of Khurin.
The settlement was officially converted from a village into the city of Baqershahr in 1996. It remains a recognized administrative division within the regional geography of Tehran province.
