Basht is a city located in the Central District of Basht County within the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province of Iran. It serves as the administrative capital for both the county and its central district.
Historically, the city functioned as the administrative center for the Babuyi Rural District. This role continued until the administrative seat was eventually transferred to the village of Bustan, which has since been designated as a city.
