Tandur is a town, municipality, and mandal located in the Vikarabad district of Telangana, India. It serves as the headquarters for the Tandur Revenue Division and is organized into 36 municipal wards.
The region is primarily known for its production of limestone, cement, and redgram. Notably, the local variety known as Tandur Redgram has been awarded a Geographical Indication (GI) tag by the Central Department of Commerce and Industry. The town's drinking water is supplied by the River Kagna, a tributary of the Bhima River situated approximately 4 km from the town.
