Sirsilla

India

Sircilla is a town and the district headquarters of Rajanna Sircilla district, located in the Indian state of Telangana. It is situated on the banks of the Manair River within the Sircilla mandal of the Sircilla revenue division.

The town is widely recognized as a major textile hub, earning the nickname "Textile Town" due to its high concentration of power looms, dyeing units, and textile processing facilities. It serves as the largest textile center in Telangana, housing over 40,000 power looms. The state government has proposed developing Sircilla, along with Warangal, into a mega textile zone.

Historically, Sircilla is notable for hosting the first Visalandhra Mahasabha during the Visalandhra movement. More recently, the location served as a filming site for scenes from the 2023 Telugu film Veera Simha Reddy.
