Sathupalli is a town and municipality located in the Khammam district of Telangana, India. It is situated within the Sathupalli mandal of the Kalluru revenue division. Geographically, the town lies approximately 276 km east of Hyderabad, 80 km from Khammam, and 126 km west of Rajahmundry.
The area is primarily known for its coal mines and consists of multiple blocks within the Singareni collieries. To facilitate the transport of coal to the KTPS, nearly 40 km of railway track connects the town to Bhadrachalam Road, operated by the South Central Railway (SCR). The town is also notable as the birthplace of the late Chief Minister Jalagam Vengal Rao.
