Ramagundam is a city located in the Peddapalli district of Telangana, India. Situated on the banks of the Godavari River, it serves as an important urban center within the Ramagundam revenue division. The city is approximately 225 km away from Hyderabad, the state capital.
As of the 2011 census, Ramagundam was the most populous city in the Peddapalli district, with a population of 229,644. It ranked as the eighth most populous city in the state of Telangana, with an urban agglomeration population recorded at 242,979.
