India

Palwancha is a town located in the Bhadradri district of the Indian state of Telangana. It serves as a major part of the Kothagudem Municipal Corporation and is considered a twin city to Kothagudem.

Historically, the area was a portion of the large Hasanabad Paragana Zamindari estate under the Qutub Shahi dynasty, later becoming the Palvancha Zamindari in the Nizam's Dominion. The name for the estate was given by Captain Glasfurd, and the Zamindar of Bhadrachalam also served as the Zamindar of Palwancha.

Today, Palwancha is characterized as an industrialized area. It hosts several significant industrial facilities, including the Kothagudem Thermal Power Station, NMDC, and the TSIIC Industrial Park.
