Paloncha

Palwancha is a town located in the Bhadradri district of the Indian state of Telangana. It serves as a major part of the Kothagudem Municipal Corporation and is recognized as a twin city of Kothagudem.

Historically, the area was a portion of the Hasanabad Paragana, a large Zamindari estate belonging to the Qutub Shahi dynasty, and later became the Palvancha Zamindari under the Nizam's Dominion. The name for the estate was provided by Captain Glasfurd, while the Zamindar of Bhadrachalam also served as the Zamindar of Palwancha.

The town is a significant industrialized area featuring several major facilities. Notable industries in the region include the Kothagudem Thermal Power Station, NMDC, and the TSIIC Industrial Park.
