Miryalaguda is a city located in the Nalgonda district of the Indian state of Telangana. It is situated approximately 44 kilometres from the district headquarters of Nalgonda and 142 kilometres from the state capital, Hyderabad.
The city is popularly known as the "Rice Bowl of Telangana" because it serves as a major industrial hub featuring over 170 rice processing mills. Additionally, Miryalaguda functions as a strategic gateway to the Krishna Valley stupas, providing the primary transport and commercial link to significant Buddhist heritage sites such as Buddhavanam and Nandikonda.
In 2015, the Government of India included Miryalaguda under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation scheme. The city received a Skoch award in 2018 in recognition of its excellence in implementing urban reforms.
