Gajwel, officially known as Gajwel–Pragnapur, is a town and municipality located in the Siddipet district of the Indian state of Telangana. The jurisdiction of its civic body covers an area of 49.00 km2 (18.92 mi2). It is situated approximately 53 km from Hyderabad along the Rajiv highway.
The town serves as a significant political center and is the home constituency of K. Chandrashekar Rao, the former Chief Minister of Telangana. Gajwel is recognized as one of the fastest-developing towns in the state, experiencing notable growth in various sectors including infrastructure projects.
A key development in the region is the construction of the Outer Ring Road (ORR). Spanning approximately 21.92 kilometers, this road connects Gajwel to major cities such as Hyderabad, Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, and Nizamabad, enhancing regional connectivity and facilitating smoother travel.
