Raipur

Raipur is the capital city of the Indian state of Chhattisgarh and serves as the administrative headquarters for both the Raipur district and the Raipur division. It is the most populous city in the state and was formerly part of Madhya Pradesh before the formation of Chhattisgarh on November 1, 2000.

The city functions as a major commercial hub for trade and commerce within the region, characterized by significant industrial growth that has established it as a primary business center in Central India. It has received national recognition for urban management, ranking as India's sixth cleanest city in the 2021 Swachh Survekshan and placing seventh in both the 2022 Ease of Living Index and the 2020 Municipal Performance Index.
