Mussoorie is a hill station and municipal board located in the Dehradun district of Uttarakhand, India. Situated in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan range, it lies approximately 26 kilometres from the state's winter capital, Dehradun, and about 289 kilometres north of New Delhi.
The area is often associated with the adjoining town of Landour, which contains a military cantonment. Additionally, the townships of Barlowganj and Jharipani are considered part of "greater Mussoorie."
