Raipur

Raipur is the capital city of the Indian state of Chhattisgarh and serves as the administrative headquarters for both the Raipur district and the Raipur division. It is the most populous city in the state and was formerly part of Madhya Pradesh before the formation of Chhattisgarh on November 1, 2000.

The city functions as a major commercial hub for trade and commerce within the region, characterized by significant industrial growth that has established it as a primary business center in Central India. In terms of urban management, Raipur was ranked as India's 6th cleanest city in the 2021 Swachh Survekshan. It also held the 7th position in both the Municipal Performance Index 2020 and the Ease of Living Index 2022, as reported by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
