Kirandul is a town and municipality located in the Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, India. It is situated approximately 400 km south of the state capital, Raipur, and about 41 km southwest of the district headquarters in Dantewada.
The area is notable for possessing one of the world's largest iron ore reserves, as reported in a 2021 survey. The region has also been the site of significant social activity regarding industrial development; in 2019, approximately 10,000 tribal people from 200 surrounding villages conducted a five-day protest against mining operations in the Kirandul and Bailadila ranges.
