Janjgir

Janjgir is a city located in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. It serves as the headquarters of the Janjgir–Champa district, a designation it received on May 25, 1998, when the district was established by carving it out of Bilaspur.

The city is known for its Vishnu Temple, also referred to as Nakta Mandir. It is currently undergoing rapid industrial development and is slated to host several thermal power plants in the future. The local railway station was renamed from Naila to Janjgir-Naila following community efforts to adopt the name Janjgir.

Janjgir is well-connected by road and rail networks. It maintains links to major cities, including Bilaspur and Raipur, primarily through National Highway 200.
