Balod

Balod is a city located in the Balod district of Chhattisgarh, India. It is situated on the banks of the River Tandula and serves as a nagar palika within the region. The city is positioned approximately 44 km from Dhamtari and 58 km from Durg.

The local infrastructure includes one college, one court, one community health centre, and a jail. Nearby landmarks include the Tandula Dam and the Aadmabaad Dam, both of which were constructed in 1912 on the rivers Sukha and Tandula. Additionally, several temples are located in the surrounding towns, most notably the Ganga Maiyya and Siyadevi temples.
