Vrindavan, also spelled Vrindaban or Brindaban, is a historical city located in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, India. Situated within the Braj Bhoomi region, it serves as one of the most sacred sites for Vaishnava traditions.
The city holds significant religious importance for Hindus because it is believed to be the place where Krishna, one of the primary deities in Hinduism, spent much of his childhood. Consequently, Vrindavan contains approximately 5,500 temples dedicated to the worship of Krishna and his chief consort, Radha.
