Tilhar is a city and an ancient tehsil located in the Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It serves as a municipal board within the state and functions as a constituency of the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.
Historically, the city was recognized for its role in supplying bows to Mughal armies. During the reign of Emperor Jahangir, it was notably referred to by the name Kamaan Nagar.
