Sandila is a town and nagar palika parishad situated in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It functions as a tehsil headquarters for the region and is positioned approximately midway between the cities of Hardoi and Lucknow.
The town is well-connected by roads extending in all directions and features a major broad gauge rail line passing through its southern side. According to local legend, Sandila served as the Tapobhumi of the Vedic sage Shandilya. The associated Shandilya Ashram was located at the Shitala Mata Mandir temple on the western side of the town.
