Safipur

Safipur is a town and nagar panchayat situated in the Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is located approximately 27 km northwest of the city of Unnao and serves as a tehsil headquarters. The town is well-connected to surrounding areas via an established road network.

The settlement was founded in the 1300s under the original name Saipur. It was later renamed Safipur to honor the 16th-century Muslim saint Makhdum Shah Safi. A dargah dedicated to the saint is located within the town.
