Pilibhit

Pilibhit is a city and municipal board located in the Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh, northern India. It serves as the north-easternmost district of the Bareilly division within the Rohilkhand region. The area is situated in the sub-Himalayan Plateau belt, positioned next to the foothills of the Sivalik Range on the border of Nepal.

The region is notable for being one of the most forest-rich areas in North India and serves as the origin point of the Gomati River. Additionally, Pilibhit is known as Bansuri Nagari, or the land of flutes, because it produces and exports approximately 95% of the flutes in India.
