Pawayan, also known as Powayan, is a town and subdivisional headquarters located in the Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated within the fertile agricultural belt of Northern India, positioned approximately 27 km from Shahjahanpur and 47 km from Tilhar.
The town serves as a regional administrative center and lies roughly 300 km from Delhi and 200 km from Lucknow. It is primarily characterized by its location in a productive farming region of the state.
