Nehtaur is a city located in the Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, northern India. It is situated near the city of Bijnor and is recognized as an ancient town known for its cultural heritage and educational background.
The town was established by the Taga Minister family of Ajmer state following their migration from Ranthambhor, Rajasthan, after it was captured by Qutubuddin Aibak. The name Nehtaur is derived from "Nai-thour," which translates to "new abode."
